X-rays do not show symptoms of corona during the early stages of infection, so this technology cannot fully accommodate PCR tests.However, it can still play an important role in preventing the spread of the virus especially when PCR tests are not easily available.
Experts believe that this can be important and potentially life-saving when diagnosing serious cases of the virus, helping determine what treatment the patient may need.
Professor Milan, vice principal of research, innovation and management, said there could potentially be game-changing research.
